I am thrilled to be part of an esteemed group of talented design bloggers, for a specific project;
Creating a Gallery Wall.
When I accepted the invitation from my blogging friend, Cindy Hattersley, I knew my current clients were not in need, nor was I contemplating a change at home. However, a shop wall was in desperate shape.
Pure joy is purchasing wall art with the hopes they will find a loving home and I needed to present them in an inspirational way, just the push I needed.
The beauty of a gallery wall is the opportunity to uniquely express yourself, your loves and your interests
We can derive inspiration from books, magazines and the internet, but where to start and what to do?
You could choose a single topic, as in this case, vintage music sheetsYour love of portraiture
A collected mix is uniquely intriguing.
Create a wall with a specific color theme in mind
Hung with military precision
Or with a casual vibe

The three photos below are my inspiration images.......
Love the use of objects in a gallery wall, they add a 3D element
The image above and below intrigued me......the highlighting of the gallery wall painted in another color way giving additional prominence to the collection, hmmmm.....Two additional posts will be the 'before' and 'afters.' Cannot wait to share! Follow along with these talented women below

What a great post Debra, I love your selection of photos. I especially love that collection of portraits, only wish they weren't so hard to come by. And I could stare forever at the layout of the first photo. Just the time alone to get that look. wow. I can't wait to see what you've got planned

ReplyDeleteDebra,
ReplyDeleteThis was like Christmas morning for me...first of all, there are so many of my favorite bloggers involved in this. It will take me a full day just to pour over each of your great ideas. Secondly, I knew I'd love what you found as inspiration...I could have selected any one of the interesting and beautifully done galleries you are gaining your inspiration from. This will be so much fun.
