Debra,
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not I actually have a spot in my back yard that has challenged me, in part due to the drought and in part because of the extensive roots that grow from our neighbor's alder tree. If I win I'd love to consult with you on that area.
Either way, I already subscribe...a favorite must read each new post.
xo,
Karen
oh how I would love design help with my patio/outdoor space. It's so sad looking right now. I just don't know where to start.
ReplyDeleteI already subscribe to your blog and look forward to your posts. I would love to win a consultation from you.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, I would love your creative counsel any time!!! Your work is stunning -- indoors & outdoors! From the moment you and Stephanie sat in my yard to create my lovely garden, I've been such a fan. When I win this consultation (staying positive!) I'd welcome your assistance with our next home...as soon as we find it! Jean K. (Darien)
ReplyDeleteI too have a smallish area around the back of my place that I'm struggling with. I'd like it to blend better and offer a haven for birds. Merry Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Debra--this sould be the best gift ever!! Thanks for all the wonderful blogs you have already given us.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours!
We are in the process of downsizing and are purchasing a 1990's house that needs tons of updating! I think I would love to have your help with the backyard deck area with the pool! It's so sad!! Have always loved your style!
ReplyDeleteThis would be a dream come true! With your help I would transform my home office. (I think I can, I think I can, I think I can) with your help I know I can!
ReplyDeleteHow generous of you. I am going to be putting my house on the market and am seriously underwater. I need so much help with my master bath and my lower patio level. I adore your blog! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI would love help with the exterior of my home. Pink brick, a mushroom roof, and a ugly door calls for some serious intervention. Any help you could give would be appreciated.
ReplyDeleteWould love to receive some help with my new deck and patio. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Debra, what a wonderful give-away! It would be wonderful to have your input for our back yard renovation. We want to take out a low backyard 20' x 30'deck and replace it with a slightly smaller paved patio that connects to our screen porch facing a lake. Right now the deck is surrounded with 2-3'wide perennial borders which I hope to keep or at least replant. Right now I pot up no less than 14 large annual pots on the deck in the summer, and am hoping to downsize to a few spectacular pots instead. Boy, could I use your help! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely, generous gift ! Changed my bed to a king about 4 years ago, bought an upholstered headboard ( pottery barn ) and bedding ( restoration hardware ) then got stuck. Do I paint the walls cream for that serene feel or greige to off set the bed? Do I paint my existing furniture ( oak) or stain it dark? Drapes? How do I simplify the whole room? Help!
ReplyDeleteHave a very Merry Christmas!
I would love to have you work in my outdoor living areas. I live in Southern California so we are able to use our outdoor space most of the year. I just had my pool renovated and I'm having a terrible time trying to layout furniture arrangement since there are no walls/ceilings to help define areas. I would love to have you help me long distance. I'm still enjoying the 'In God We Trust' sign from your shop!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, my friend! Such an amazing, generous gift! Good luck to one of your lucky readers. Wishing you and yours a festive and fabulous Christmas, Debra. Warmly, L
ReplyDeleteDebra, Its as if you were reading my mind! I think you got this idea when you were doing my urns for Christmas, and you thought, "Wow I really would love for her to change this house!" Well, we have been plotting and planning and have ideas and are about to start some work in the fall and would LOVE for you to give us your ideas. This house could use your amazing talent.
ReplyDeleteMay the "Force" be with me as I leave this comment!!! Along with your other readers I would welcome a re-do design for my back patio... I'm sure your "out of this world" design help will improve and delight the backside of my home!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gift to offer Debra. You are so very talented and can make such a bug difference with different design choices!

I would love to have you work on just about any room in our home. We built this house 19 years ago and to say it needs some updating is an understatement. Master bedroom/bath are most neglected (aren't they always?)! Live in Batavia, so it would be convenient! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your generous offer. Our daughter is newly engaged with a wedding in the fall. We will host a wide range of events at our house. Our home is tiny! I would like to work on our kitchen/ eating area and make it more efficient and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am already a subscriber to your blog and love your posts. Happy Holidays.

We've been slowly restoring our 1890s Geneva home since 2008. We love your store and have many things from both SG Too and Scentimental Gardens! After four years of scraping, repairing and painting the original siding, and restoring all the windows, we are finally ready to start thinking about final, special touches on the exterior! I follow your blog and love your pins on Pinterest, and as a fellow Francophile, I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have give us input on a plan for our outside space. This is our forever home, and we'd love to create a magical exterior for our littles ones to enjoy for years to come.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family. Help is needed with choosing a paint color(s) for family room and kitchen.
ReplyDeleteMany thanks. Wishing you everything Merry and Bright
I have wanted to go to you for a consultation forever. I live in an older home right by you and I have horrible curb appeal. My house was built in 1927 and has lots of charm on the inside. Outside it's blah! I've been reading your blog for years but I just subscribed.
ReplyDeleteMy porch needs your magic! Merry Christmas! Looking forward to starting landscaping!
ReplyDeleteWhat joy if you could dress the architectural bones of my English enclosed porch with lush plantings and beautiful materials.....a place of retreat. The porch is adjacent to a large raised terrace, and I haven't been able to related these two spaces which were meant to be together. I'm already a subscriber, and your blogs have made me smile and inspired me to do more with my home and garden. Thanks for the letting us all get in the hunt. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteIt was just such fun meeting and gabbing with you and your great gals at the shop today, Debra! I've been looking for a place to stir creative ideas and I'm so glad that Nancy V told me of your store. Of course, I had to come home and enjoy your terrific contributions to the housewalk...so much fun to sit and stare and not be holding up the visit! My patio area needs a facelift and all the goodies in your store seem like a perfect fit! Jack and I will be back soon. Thanks for a great chat!
ReplyDeletePick me!!! I am going to have a major renovation of our master bath. We live in a house over 100 years old. Would love your creative advice!!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra...hope your well...what a wonderful gift your giving away!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful Christmas..
I have followed your blog for a while. In fact, after you posted pictures of pots that you did for Christmas, I HAD to drive to your store and purchase lots of plastic red berries for my pots and windowboxes! I loved your store, it was so beautiful and the girls that worked there were so nice and helpful. I am a lover of plants and gardens and have beautiful landscaping around my house, but the area I have struggled with is our patio. It is made of pavers and we can't decide if we need to add to it to make it bigger or what we need to do to make it a spot we would like to go out to and enjoy. Our neighbors are very close to us and we have struggled with trying to have some privacy. We have lived here 11 years and have not really utilized our patio. Please help me get out of my patio rut! I am located relatively close to you! (Clarendon Hills)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gift! I am a regular at A Country Farmhouse/In the Fields & happened upon your blog from there. My family and I moved into an 1850s Italianate/Second Empire farmhouse (sounds like an oxymoron, but true) a few years ago. We're just finishing a save of the three story barn & desperately need some advice on the exterior of this crazy house. money goes far in IA, but my creativity is at a stand still. Any advice and a different perspective would be so welcomed. Love your aesthetic & happy Christmas!

Merry Xmas Debra. Blog is inspiring as always. Would love for you to refresh my garden this year. Sharon
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! I love your blog and your store. My project? I live on a hill and have a huge block retaining wall in front of my house. I'm certain there is SOMETHING that could be done to obscure it and add curb appeal - some ivy or something? I'm also certain that I don't know what that something is but that you would! Have a great day! -mreidpowell@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have read your posts periodically and have always loved them and now plan to subscribe. I would love to have your design ideas for two rooms of my home that are underutilized. We have a formal living room and dining room that is put to use only on holidays. Our family has expanded with seven grandchildren and we need more space for gatherings. What a wonderful gift that would be !! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a wonderful gift! I would love for you to offer your expertise to my Son and DIL on finishing the rear decked screened porch of their beautiful new home. I love reading your blog and the way you mix old and new is just what they need to add character to a brand new home. Happy New Year and thank you again for all the wonderful inspiration you provide!
ReplyDeleteSimply Superb! I would be honor and blessed to receive a gift of dressing our exterior. My goal for the year is to live a life of Joy and what better way to extend that joy to our exterior domain.
ReplyDeleteWe need some new excitement and love to this mid-century home. Who wouldn't want to live near a home that screams J-O-Y!
Thanks for the idea of winning!!!!
Happy new year Debra! Just playing a little blog catch-up - I missed a lot of great stuff over here the past few months! Hoping that you have a wonderful 2016 and that we all get to meet up again somewhere this year!
ReplyDeleteHi Debra--I found your blog via Tara Dillard's link to your post on matching planters to a house's architecture and I have to say I was hooked!!! We recently moved into a fab little house and it's like working a puzzle figuring out where everything will go in the new space. There are any number of projects around here but I'd love your advice on planters and plants for the front yard.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Andrea
Wow! How fun! I could use help in several areas of my home and would love your expertise. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Linda
Not sure how I missed this! I did not know that you did consults! I think I may need your help on a bedroom!
