THE REAL REASON TO CELEBRATE FALL.....

Is this not the best time of year? Surrounded by color
Encased in stylish warmth
Snuggling indoors, blankets, fire, wine, a good book
Natures abundance.....
 The best part?
GOOD HAIR!
In this cozy mindset I find that i need a nook, yes neeeeed.
Visions of turtlenecks, wine, plaid blankets, pinterest, wine, my dog at my feet. Some of us are claustrophobic, myself......the smaller the space the more comfortable I am. Yes, weird.....
A narrow room has a new purpose
The end of a hallway, magical

This will do nicely. Now if only my husband would cooperate and build this. My visions of taking one end of our guest room and building out to accommodate my fantasies

Like this one I would have closet doors on each end; doors not curtains please
This would do
Our container gardens have begun and it is a mass of color and texture

Enjoy!
Debra

  2. Debra,
Ah, my friend, you and I share this love of the crisp fall air, trees wowing us with their kaleidoscope of color, turtlenecks and fires in the grate! The nooks you shared are all more than pinterest worthy, they're file worthy for future ideas should nook space every avail itself.
Most of all, your containers have always provided the inspiration I need for the urn by my front door. I love them all!
Enjoy this first week of fall.

P.S. If loving small spaces over large is weird, I don't want to be normal :-)

  5. A beautiful and inspiring post, Debra. I love it! My husband is the same way about nooks and crannies-- he just loves them. Yesterday we went to a British-style Gastropub with high enclosed booth seats. It was wonderful.
    Enjoyed this post thoroughly.

  11. May I a small house and large garden have, and a few friends and many books, both true, both wise, and both delightful too!
