Anyone remember me? I hardly remember me. I have only been acquainted with the working me, the last 60++ days in a row
Since I would not want anyone else to write a blog post for me, I wait. Not the best use of social media but I see this as our exchange, you and I. Promises to myself to do better........seem to take a back seat
One thing I have embraced is INSTAGRAM. Many long lost bloggers are there, I find it to be an intimate way to stay in contact with designers, businesses, and of course friends or hey, movie stars if that is your vibe. Some of those I follow really inspire me from Morocco, England, Jordan, Sweden and France. Because it is so quick, I'm pretty close to my goal of one post a day. Give it a try, I had to be coerced.

Back to blogging....... as soon as landscape season hits, alongside interiors &; the shop........I'm drawn and quartered. So much has happened I'll think, "oh, have to write a blog post about that!" then promptly move onto something else, forgetting what I wanted to share.....
So here is what I remembered......sad, I know......
Atlantas Gift Market
My maiden name was Byers, (buyer) get it? Cannot get enough of shopping for the store and for our clients. Back at the shop goods are flying in with the holidays coming up. Did I just say that? The holidays?
Well look at the summer, 30 seconds ago it was spring.
Trends………..
Indigo everything, gray is still with us but manufacturers are trying to shake up the grey phenomena
Mohair, the fabric. On the pricey side l but pillows are doable, throws, I even saw holiday ribbon...yes, I bought some for the shop, very very cool
Tribal inspired, everywhere. Art, fabrics, especially Mud Cloth, furniture, these stools which are really comfy, and even wallpaper
Here we go, Indigo & Tribal

Other Discoveries………
Frizzy Hair?????
NO MORE….really, and I did not have to have a treatment. Sachajuan Hair Cleansing Cream from Sweden. Having read about someones changed hair, I had to try……anything to avoid the summer frizz/brillo pad/electrocuted looking hair of summer. It worked, even in Atlanta in July, perfectly calm hair,
smooth and even.
My stylist asked what I did as the texture of my hair had actually changed, "who's hair is this?" she asked, disbelief on her face. YES!!! (fist pump)

Have a pool?
When our pool opens I begin the fruitless process of coming up with something that will save the little critters that fall in. Frisbees, floating pieces of wood, styrofoam…..and my husbands ire. But, I cannot bear looking in to find a downward facing, floating animal. That is until I this discovery…..
Not one critter this season. I placed one on each side of the pool, and magic, a wildlife savior. They easily climb the ramp to safety and that makes me so happy.
While in Atlanta, I went around to my haunts and the antique shows.
My 24’ trailer and my van were loaded, packed….full!
After 10 days, the shop is nearly empty and I am headed back this week, two shopping trips back to back?! Those are pre-2008 levels, thrilled. Thank you all.
While in Atlanta I have a source for upholstery fabrics, often designer or of generally excellent quality at really good prices, so good that I am able to pass on to you . We are building our collection, all at $20.00 per yard. Includes linen, heavy tweeds for fall/winter and velvets, quilted.......
